Worship Ministry

In Christ, we will worship in two ways: biblically grounded worship services through our corporate church community, and a lifestyle of worship that reflects our attitude towards Christ.

Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne, and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:

“You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
   for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
      and have their being.”

Revelations 4:9-11

One of our main goals as the Worship Ministry is to make sure all of the aspects of our corporate worship service brings glory to God because He is worthy.  And our hope is that this, along with developing relationships in small groups, learning the Word in Bible studies, and getting involved with Outreach Ministry would lead us to live as the salt and light during the week.  Our aim is to minimize distractions so that the congregation can see God as He is by:

  • Calling attention to what God is doing in our community and globally through the Audio Visual Production Team
  • Meditating and reflecting with the Ensemble Ministry
  • Praising God with our contemporary Praise Team
  • Hearing of the Word
  • Responding to God’s love and grace through the giving our tithes and offerings
The Worship Committee handles the behind-the-scenes logistics such as making and printing the bulletins, setting up and cleaning the sanctuary, working with the lights, sound, and audio visual aspects of the worship service, and ushering people to their seat.  The Worship Committee works interconnectedly with the Audio Visual Production Team, Ensemble Ministry, and Praise Team to provide an opportunity for people to worship God without holding back.
